What does a custom quilt coat with a custom quilt entail?
You’ll start by helping me decide on the quilt style you’re going for and we’ll work together on coming up with the right design for you. I’ll help you decide on the coat’s style, length, and additional details (like pockets, collars, hoods and closures), plus we’ll make sure that the quilt design you’ve chosen will work with your preferred details. Then I’ll check your measurements after making a sample size, triple checking the final size will be accurate. Finally, I’ll make you a coat and deliver it to you!
How do I decide the type of quilt I want to turn into a coat?
This is a great question! I highly recommend taking photos of quilts you like out in the world - antique stores and estate sales are great - or browsing websites like Pinterest for inspiration. You can also find a huge array of quilt patterns on places like Etsy, Fat Quarter Shop and Instagram. Finally, I love magazines and books as inspiration - American Patchwork and Quilting and Country Living are two of my favorite magazines, plus most used bookstores have a Quilting/Sewing section!

Are there returns, refunds or exchanges?
There are no returns, refunds or exchanges at this time. I’m a small, one-lady shop that cannot manage returns or refunds on custom items that I invest time and money into.
How long will this process take?
Once we finalize the quilt, sizing and coat style, it should be done and shipped within 6-12 weeks, depending on current workload. I’ll let you know once we confirm details what my shipping turnaround is and when I expect to be done! If you need the coat by a specific date, please let me know immediately upon emailing me. If I know upfront what your timeline is, I can let you know if it’s possible!
